This crepe recipe was awesome! These are so good with a sweet or savory filling.
This morning I did my 8.5 miles which was calming and relaxing. Hopefully later on today I do my three mile loop shake out to make my mileage.

Finger's crossed that I am in perfect marathon shape for the fall. Sometimes, starting early spring makes it so that by October I hit a peak in my training to run a good time in something. Today, I did five miles and tomorrow I am hoping to run a little over ten miles total. In the early morning, I will do my nine mile run and in the afternoon I am going to do my three mile loop. Nike Pegasus are my favorite sneakers for longer running. 🦄☀
On a side note, I have been practicing my violin so I will finally do some long awaited recordings and hopefully juggle orchestra in my schedule later in the year! 😻 Taking lessons since I was five to play difficult pieces is the motive to have my cool aunt record all of them for our personal pleasure, so I don’t have to play them over and over everytime we want them, and my cool aunt can even find me a piano accompaniment for everything… There is a way to make it happen. 😽
The violin and running are alike in a way they are both lifelong passions that can be pursued on different levels at different times, you are never invalid in either because there is always something for everyone. 🎻 🎻 🎻
We loved going to Dr. Frank’s earlier this week!
I do not know what it is, but when I chew gum whilst running I always look like I’m smiling, it is just a thing. Honestly, I don’t think I could run long distance without chewing gum. Having gum or a sip of water in your mouth stimulates your brain during a long distance run. Sometimes, I just have water in my mouth and spit it out in double digit mileage so my brain stays vibrant in all that mileage. What kind of gum do you chew running? I like anything mint and have a new piece of gum with every gel every five miles. Espresso flavored gels and mint gum every 3-5 miles are my safe go to for running double digit miles.
My favorite run workout for the middle of the week is warming up with stretching and ten strides, and then running a 3 mile warm up followed by 3 mile race pace sesh and finishing with a three mile cool down and doing ten more strides. This has been my go to run since the eighth grade and it is probably always going to be my comfortable middle distance workout.
dynamic stretch
ten strides
3 mile warm up
3 miles at race pace
3 mile cool down
ten strides
I would wear my Nike Pegasus sneakers for this one, because they are very supportive for the mileage.
Covid makes me get the vibe that someone was jealous of my spots in big Marathon races, my ex boyfriend, and my career. Nevertheless, I am determined to bounce back and act like this year literally never happened to me. 😂 Once you’re in a routine, there is not time to over think things. There are ways I could have ended up in the same place without covid… What if I dropped out of my marathons half way in or it was raining on a race day and I dropped out? Or stormed out of an ex's house after a fight never to date them again, ‘epidemic’ aside? Who wanted to date him and had enough money to make a fake epidemic?!😂😂😂 Or was I so far ahead in my work that I could take it down a notch anyway? 😬 It is more than appropriate for someone my age, I have a very nice profession and ten year plan anyway…. 🗝 There is a way to bounce back from anything and get back in to a routine that is appropriate for your age and credentials. 😸However, am I in the mood to find a new relationship after my falling out over covid, omg? It should never matter if you ran the Boston Marathon when deciding whether to break up with someone or not, and that was a whole thing for me without the fake epidemic. 😼
The important thing is that I walked and ran five miles today and can feel myself getting back in shape. I even have new private coaching requests for some runners in my side hustle. Hopefully covid ends before summer so I can go swimming…
I am replanting my moon flower garden! I am going to give my extra plants away as gifts.
I went on a walk/run of five miles today. I can feel myself getting back in shape already. Running is the thing that can get me up at 4:30am and out the door before having a sip of expresso. I really feel like I need to run everyday, or if I cannot run then I need to get a good workout in. Hopefully, I make it to the track one day this week to do some speed work. In my off season, I love playing around on the track with speed work.
Well, I ran 10 miles today and it felt nice like the good old days. Now, I am drinking Meritage wine… 🍷 In lieu of whatever the hell corona virus and 2020 ended up being, a loved one spoiled me with an awful sarcastic ribbon to laugh off all that crashed and burned. Should I laugh or cry? Either way, I bet I'll feel all nice again in the fall and I can pretend last year literally never happened to me. I love it almost as much as my NOLA medal, I need gag gifts to laugh off the things that really bother me a lot…😻 Sarcasm is a very important thing to pair with humor. Onto the nonvirtual fancy things next year, hopefully the rest of my life makes up for last year omg. 😸 In terms of nice things, I am going to frame maps of my favorite Marathon courses for my office space! I love all my medals, degrees, awards and sarcastic awards all together in my office, it is cool. Everyone needs a shrine of themself. I don’t hate my life, I just need an extra fancy race somewhere extravagant to shake off the rug being pulled out from under me, like a half marathon in Italy or Canada, make learning French and Italian worth it after all. Fake Paris turned into fake Canada this year, and that is pretty bad.😂😂😂
It feels ridiculous to get back in perfect Marathon shape after doing them for ten years, like it feels ridiculous to still be doing math by hand towards my doctorate for the same reason. However, I need both of those things for my career and vocation, and after this horrendous year there is not another option, because I need to bounce back fast instead of having something linger into five years from now. I have fresh legs to bounce back, and everything is going to even out or fall into place.
It's the stubborn with goals and flexible with methods concept. For instance I need to feel nicer on a Marathon weekend than I did at seventeen, by having things such as lavender from Provence on my pillow the night before or truffles with fine wine the night after. 😼 There are ways to do things at different ages and feel good, instead of burned out and beating a dead horse.😸
Laughing through my nightmare, but not letting it ruin my life long term. Everyone has the luxury of acting like 2020 never happened. 🌹
This is as big and bad as I go in marathon training, usually. On rest days I love a class like dance, yoga or cycling, or swimming laps for an hour. I stretch before and after workouts, and hopefully remember to do strides and abs too. My coach has kinda had me like roughly this way, but with specific workouts within the average mileage since I was like 18ish. That is what I worked my way up to with a coach. I loved when I did ballroom dancing on rest days, but my usual activity is swimming laps. It is easy to sign up for a group class with a studio and join a pool! Group classes are fun. These schedules after years of hard work is why 26.2 is such a prestigious event to be good at running, it is not just a day… I wonder how people run ultras over 50 miles, it just is not something I would do even with my past.😬
My advice with running any distance for sport is to have custom insoles and several pairs of nice sneakers, because you need it for your health. You can buy a couple pairs of shoes in the same color and no one would know you have multiple pairs. Make your coach or school buy them if they are telling you to run.😉😉😉 I just would not run if I did not have the proper gear.
