My favorite run workout for the middle of the week is warming up with stretching and ten strides, and then running a 3 mile warm up followed by 3 mile race pace sesh and finishing with a three mile cool down and doing ten more strides. This has been my go to run since the eighth grade and it is probably always going to be my comfortable middle distance workout.

  1. dynamic stretch

  2. ten strides

  3. 3 mile warm up

  4. 3 miles at race pace

  5. 3 mile cool down

  6. ten strides

I would wear my Nike Pegasus sneakers for this one, because they are very supportive for the mileage.
