Running in the Rain

Dear Runner Lovers,

I was all bundled up for my Sunday long run! It was raining very hard, I did not dare take my hat off for pictures!  Perfect weather for the duckies!

After my workouts, I always like to go over the organic campus farm!  The alpacas are so adorable, and were having a good time in the rain! Here are some videos!

I love fall foliage!! So pretty, even in the rain!

My Sister's 1st Half Marathon, WINE GLASS

Dear Runner Lovers,

I am so proud of my sister, Kimberly, for finishing her first ever half-marathon today!  She finished the WINE GLASS Half Marathon, in Corning NY!  Kim loves her glass medal, made by the Corning Museum of Glass!  My sister trained so hard for this day, it is truly incredible.  First she was a DI cross-country super-star and now Kim is conquering half-marathons! I wish I could have been there to see Kim cross the finish-line, my favorite running buddy.  Here are some pictures of my strong, beautiful, amazing half-marathoner!

CozyPhones!

Dear Runner Lovers,

Happy Fall Y'all!

Today, was perfect for trying out my CozyPhones for the first time!  Here is the verdict!

They sound crisp and clear like  my JBL headphones.  The name is perfect, because they are extremely COZY!  My ears were nice and warm the entire two hours of my run in 45 degree weather with lake wind-chills. I never had to readjust my ear bud placement, because they are nicely secured in the headband.  These CozyPhones looked so AMAZING that boys were screaming complements from their cars, driving by whilst watching me run! I LOVE COZYPHONES!  Everyone whose ears are cold when they run, need these in their life!

Hiking Mount Tumble Down

Dear Runner Lovers,

Yesterday, we drove all the way to Mount Tumble Down and went on a terrific Maine hiking adventure. 

Making the climb to the hard part, loving the views!

This is where we stopped for lunch! After putting peanut-butter on my CLIF Bars for years, I am so happy they finally made this flavor!

Almost half way up!

Before we climbed into and out through the top of a cave! It took a lot of teamwork!

On top of the mountain and it feels so good! We made it alive!

We started to tumble down, Tumble Down Mountain!

We made it down to the pond!

We finished!!! Yay! So proud of all us hikers!

ST.JUDE FUNDRAISER

Dear Runner Lovers, 

On October 16th, I will be running the Mount Desert Marathon in Bar Harbor Maine!  I have signed up to fundraise for St. Jude! This is very exciting, to be running for such an amazing organization. 

The funds raised by all us runners in the Mount Desert Marathon, will help St. Jude continue to be the worlds leader in treating childhood cancer and other serious diseases.  St. Jude has immensely increased the survival rate for childhood cancer from 20% to exceed 80%, in the last fifty years.  Donations help the families of children with cancer to focus on their child's life, versus bills for treatments, travel, housing, food, and other necessities. 

Please help me reach my fundraising goal, and contribute to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Help children be happy, healthy and alive!
