Watches I Love To Wear Running
I have gone through tons of Garmin stopwatches in this lifetime. I feel that it is completely necessary as an adult professional runner to have the luxury of GPS in a stopwatch. My old cross country coach, and weightlifting olympian, Oscar B Jensen, would tell us a mile and half was really a mile in practice for years. I would run a mile and a half trying to meet my mile split requirement, and if our team had these GPS watches back then, we would have called out coach on it! OBJ was a liar, to make our team run faster. ‘To run faster you need to train faster,’ really meant run the extra half mile and pretend you only ran a mile. All the coaches I have had, and I still think about my highschool coach! A lot of runners are made in those years, so it must be relatable. I love watching the weightlifters in the Olympics, because that is what my old cross country coach did, I just have to watch all the events! The main idea of wearing a GPS stopwatch, is knowing if you are 13 miles into a marathon or 20 miles into a marathon. Personally, I have an entire drawer full of these GPS watches. These watches are necessary to run long distances safely!
Watches of my past, present and future.
These are awesome for counting steps and wearing casually all day every day.
I had one of these in every color, and they are really my favorite to wear everyday! This design has everything you need, in terms of a timer and GPS. Big, bold and fun.
I loved having this watch, because my lacrosse team color was lime green. This feels nice on the wrist, and has all the GPS and timing features a girl needs. There is even a heart monitor built in.
I like to wear this one casually, and used this design during a marathon too. It is very nice, with the heart rate, timer, GPS…
All us girls went through the rose gold and white phase, and sometimes I still wear this one!
This one, I tried out, up in the mountains whilst altitude training which was a treat. I do love this, but it is big for my tiny wrist.
