Dear Runner Lovers,
I love connecting with everyone, and I am so happy that I chose to share my running journey. At first, I was apprehensive because I never talked about being sick outside of my close circle of family and friends. I was unsure of how it would be perceived, or impact the way I am looked at as an athlete.
It is the best feeling ever when I read an email one of you sent me, saying that you feel inspired by my running. Talking to others going through a similar journey, and being able to help in any way possible is wonderful. Whether it is talking about seeing the light at the end of the tunnel when you’re sick, or how to run a marathon. I feel fantastic being there to connect with you and truly appreciate everyone reading.
All of your support has inspired me to take the next step and pursue something I have wanted to for a very a long time. I am going to start writing a book!
I feel so blessed to be healthy again, go to school, have my life back, and travel to beautiful places to run marathons. Over the years, I have kept journals that will be used to write about these experiences. I also want to include my parent’s perspective of everything they went through while I was sick too, because it was not something that just happened to me, it happened to my entire family.
This is going to be a positive project, I am very excited. I feel so lucky to have a community of people who appreciate my work and the best is yet to come!
